Thank you Ceci at Primitive Images.   This piece found its new home.  I love this piece.  Glad it spoke to someone.  I love to paint at the Gorge.

Some locations are my favorites to paint. The University of Michigan Biological Station occupies a large section of Douglas Lake but also the north end of Burt Lake where I go to vacation and paint all spring, summer and fall seasons.    There are springs of fresh crystal clear water the bubble up from the earth to feed Burt Lake.  One hundred steps down to the bottom of the gorge and then pathways that lead to wonderful hiking trails. But at the base of the steps, in all directions are wonderful scenes. This is what I painted this week. ( I did have to take photos this year as my gear is heavy and my knees are in a state of rebellion, so I walked down into the gorge, chose my subject and went back to my cottage to paint it. I usually paint en plein air...one must adapt when things rebel.  But, it is always fresh in my mind.
