On a beautiful fall afternoon, I started this pastel at an apple orchard not too far from my home. I had just completed a pastel of the orchard owners beautiful home, and started this one of the old growth apple tree. It was so warm that day, I had to stop and decided that I would come back the next day. And I did but the temperature had dropped about 30 degrees. and it was sooooo cold. It didn't take long to complete. I just needed to finish the background and give a few details. I bought some apple cider, donuts and apples for a pie. All for my family. And then I gave the owners my painting of their home. Just a satisfying couple of days. Albers Orchard in Manchester. If you are in the area, it is so worth the stop. Best donuts and the cider was delicious.
