I had a trip of tremendous joy. My goal to do a trip sponsored by Eric Rhoads, publisher of Plein Air Magazine, and celebrate my retirement from my 51 year career as an interior designer, as met mid June when I drove the 12 hours to the Adirondacks to paint with 105 other artists from across the country. I had three roommates in our dorm suite. One from California., one from Massachusets, and the other from Connecticut, and we had such a wonderful time. It made the experience perfect. This pastel was completed on the shores of a river through a gun club. It was such a restful experience. This was not a competition, not a class or workshop. It was just a fun Plein Air experience. May you feel so peaceful seeing the river water glisten and it flowed ever so quietly around the bends.
