It was August and it was the Dexter Plein Air Festival 2019. I was doing my usual thing of driving all the back roads far from town. There stood this beautiful farm. It would seem it isn't really home to animals anymore, and I really didn't see any crops, but the beauty of the layout was wonderful. I pulled into the ditch on the shoulder of the road, set up my gear and began to paint. One bicyclist came by, asked if he could take a picture of me painting to show his wife. Sure I said. A few cars went by. Otherwise , it was just me, all by myself , having my peaceful day. Nothing is better than this. It was a subject I love, and all alone, and silent but for the birds and insects.
